The Champions League draw yesterday revealed the groups that the 32 participants of the competition will be divided into for the first major stage of the competition. Manchester United were drawn into Group B along with Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven. The others in the group are Russia’s CSKA Moskva and German team VfL Wolfsburg.

The opener for Manchester United on 15 September will be against PSV at the Philips Stadion. The visit to Netherlands will be special for United’s new recruit Memphis Depay. It marks a return to his previous club just months after he won the Eredivisie title with them.

It being the digital age, Memphis took his anticipation of the tie to social media and, funnily enough, his former club responded, throwing down the gauntlet for the tie.
