Adnan Januzaj: Loan spell brewing?

La Liga outfit Real Sociedad and Italian Serie A side Inter Milan are said to be the favourites to fight it out for the signature of Manchester United’s Belgian wonder kid Adnan Januzaj on a loan deal this January, according to reports.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is said to be entertaining the idea of sending the young Belgian out on loan to increase his playing time. The winger has seen his playing time cut short this season after falling behind a number of more experienced player in Van Gaal’s pecking order.

Januzaj, who has clocked a little over 500 minutes combined in all competitions on the field so far this season is yet to find the back of the net or provide an assist. Thus, this has so far been a step sideways in his fledgling career.

Thus, a move away from Old Trafford, at least for the time being would do no one harm. Real Sociedad, now managed by Januzaj’s former manager David Moyes are said to be keen on bringing the winger to the Basque nation for a loan spell.

It was under Moyes last season that Januzaj broke through the ranks at Manchester United. This previous acquaintance might well help Sociedad bag the young star, whilst the Red Devils should also be happy to send the 19-year old to his old tutor and hope that the Scotsman helps in re-igniting the kid’s career.

The sporadically brilliant left-winger has also been the subject of transfer speculation from Italian giants Inter Milan as well. The San Siro outfit are said to be also ready to throw the young Belgian a chance to display his mettle this season.

Described as "a beautifully balanced player" by Sir Alex Ferguson during his tenure at the club, Januzaj went on to take a huge leap last season. He probably played his best game in the red of Manchester United against Sunderland last season, in which the teenager scored both goals to pull the Red Devils back from a goal down to hand them a 2-1 victory at the Stadium of Light.
