Reports: Manchester United to re-think permanent deal for Falcao

Falcao is yet to prove himself at United and not assured of a permanent deal yet

Reports sugges Manchester United are having second thoughts on whether or not to purchase Colombian striker Radamel Falcao at the end of the season. Falcao, who is estimated at around for 44 million Euros was brought to United on a last minute deadline day loan deal from AS Monaco to solve United’s attacking problems.

Manager Louis Van Gaal is said to not be yet convinced of the worth of Falcao as he is yet to prove himself. Van Gaal also believes that Falcao might be able to physically handle the stress of the Premier League.

The Colombian star recently had to miss two key clashes against Chelsea as well as Manchester City as he picked up a minor thigh injury while training for the match against Chelsea last week. He has started only 3 league games till now and scored one goal, which was the winner in the 2-1 victory against Everton.

All eyes will be on the forward when he returns to action this week against Crystal Palace, and he will have to prove himself for the remainder of the season to attract Van Gaal to purchase him on a full time deal at the end of the season.

On the other hand, United might be forced to withdraw their deal with Monaco if he fails to perform or if he continues to face injury problems constantly.
