Arsenal have slapped a hefty £60m price tag on Aaron Ramsdale

Arsenal have reportedly put goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale up for sale, slapping a price tag of £60 million on the England international. Ramsdale has lost his place in the Gunners squad this season, finding himself behind summer loan signing David Raya in the pecking order.

Former Sheffield United and Bournemouth goalkeeper Ramsdale joined Arsenal in 2021, displacing Bernd Leno as the club's first choice in goal. He enjoyed two seasons as the first-choice goalkeeper before manager Mikel Arteta sanctioned a move for Raya last summer.

The Spaniard joined the Gunners from Brentford on an initial loan, which will likely be made permanent at the end of the season. This has relegated Ramsdale to the bench, leading the Englishman to seek a way out of his misery at the club.

Arsenal have recognised the impracticality of keeping both Aaron Ramsdale and Raya, and they are resigned to losing the former in the summer. The Gunners have, however, made it clear that they will accept an offer of £60 million for the 25-year-old, as per TEAMTalk.

Newcastle United and Chelsea have both been linked with the shot-stopper, with the links to the Magpies particularly more serious. Ramsdale's price tag would make him the second most expensive goalkeeper in history, only behind Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga, who cost £71.6 million.

Ramsdale has proven himself as a high-level goalkeeper in his time at the Emirates, keeping 32 clean sheets in 89 appearances. He is likely to be a part of the England squad for the Euros despite featuring minimally. He has played only 11 times across all competitions this season, keeping three clean sheets and conceding 12 goals.

Arsenal set to move for Serie A attacker in summer window

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to make a move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as part of their summer recruitment drive. The Serbian striker is set to be made available for a transfer by Juventus, provided that their €60 million asking price is met.

Tuttosport reports that the Gunners may finally get their hands on their long-time target, whom they have admired since his days at Fiorentina. The club will reportedly have to offer up to €12 million annually in wages to the 24-year-old for him to join them.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has bemoaned his side's lack of a prolific striker, and Vlahovic represents a good transfer target. The Serbian has found the net 16 times, while also providing four assists in his 28 appearances for Juventus in Serie A this season.
