Liverpool are reportedly looking to appoint Thomas Frank as the Jurgen Klopp replacement. The Reds are looking at Plan C after their move for Xabi Alonso and Ruben Amorim ended.

As per a report on TeamTALK, Frank is the latest manager on Liverpool's radar. The Brentford manager has impressed the Reds and see him as a good pick.

Frank was linked with the Anfield job earlier this year, as soon as Klopp announced his decision. When quizzed in a press conference, he said:

"There's a lot of rumors out there. I think we all have kind of an ego and the ego likes that little bit of sugar but at the end of the day, I'm at Brentford. I'm very happy here. Do I have ambitions? Yes. Am I going to stay at Brentford forever? Maybe but probably not.
"So who knows what's going to happen in the future? What I know is that I'm here at Brentford and I'm very happy with it."

Xabi Alonso was reported to be Liverpool's top target this summer, but the Spaniard has opted to stay at Bayer Leverkusen. Ruben Amorim was the next on their list, but David Ornstein has reported that the move for the Portuguese manager is unlikely amid talks with West Ham United.

Michael Owen believes Premier League manager would be ideal Jurgen Klopp replacement at Liverpool

Michael Owen, meanwhile, has urged Liverpool to appoint Unai Emery as the successor for Jurgen Klopp. He believes that the Spaniard has done well with a show-string budget at Aston Villa and told Premier League Productions:

"I think there are so many different ways a manager show their worth. Some managers can only work if they have got a lot of money and they are very good at selecting certain players. Some are brilliant on a shoe-string; if you give them money, they are not very good at spending it. Some can improve players."

He added:

"I think this guy certainly can, he has shown that. Actually it feels like he is an all-round manager. I mean, he can win trophies as well. He has got a career littered with trophies. He is into a semi-final as well of a European competition, and he is incredible in Europe."

Unai Emery is also a target for Bayern Munich, as the Bundesliga side are also looking for a new manager.
