Jan Aage Fjortoft, who first broke the transfer news of Mesut Ozil to Arsenal, has claimed that the English side are the favourites to sign Schalke’s wonderkid Julian Draxler.
The Norwegian, who currently works as a football pundit for Norwegian and German television, had an impressive playing career in which he wore the colours of Swindon Town, Middlesbrough, Sheffield United and Barnsley. He revealed the news on his official Twitter account and added that Arsene Wenger talks to Draxler on a regular basis.
He then tweeted another interesting news which revealed some portions of contract of the proposed move.
Draxler is considered as a hot property around Europe with Manchester United and Chelsea also in the hunt for his signature. But Arsenal will be the favourites to land the star, after he expressed his desire to join his German teammates Mesut Ozil, Per Mertesacker and Lukas Podolski at Emirates.
