Rumour: Galatasaray target £4 million rated Bacary Sagna

According to the Dail Mail, Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has emerged as a potential transfer target for Turkish giants Galatasaray this January transfer window.

The right back has been sensational for the Gunners this season, and has been a vital ingredient in Arsene Wenger’s success so far this season. His performances have propelled the North London outfit to the top of the table and into the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League.

However, the player’s contract at the Emirates runs out this summer, and although his French manager has spoken of his desire to tie down his star, a contract is yet to be signed.

Roberto Mancini and Galatasaray are willing to offer the Frenchman a bumper deal of £4.1m per season after taxes as compared to the £3.6m per year he is currently earning at the Emirates.

If the 30-year fails to renew his contract, a move to Turkey might well be on, with Galatasaray ready to pounce.
