Manchester United are plotting an ambitious £32.5 million transfer coup to land talented winger Angel Di Maria and left back Fabio Coentrao from Spanish giants Real Madrid in the on going transfer window.

The Argentinian international has been subject of much speculation in months leading up to the winter transfer window. The 25-year old’s future has been in doubt after the Los Blancos signed Gareth Bale for a record transfer fee from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer. Heavy weight clubs like AS Monaco and PSG have been strongly linked with the player in the past.

Fabio Coentrao is in a situation not too different from that of teammate Di Maria. The defender has played second fiddle to Brazilian Marcelo ever since his move to the Bernebeu. The Portuguese is now desperate to force a move away from the Spanish capital to play more first team football as the World Cup beckons. The English giants saw their last minute summer transfer bid for the player fall through, however, are back in for him.

David Moyes is said to be handed a significant transfer budget this window, as he looks to turn around the poor start to the season, and secure a Champions League place at least.

The champions will have to toil hard if they are to lure Real Madrid into selling the pair in the January window, as Carlo Ancelotti prepares to mount a serious challenge for the La Liga and Champions League.
