Will Cesc Fabregas make a return to the EPL?

Reports have surfaced in Spain today that Barcelona are willing to listen to offers for Cesc Fabregas, as disclosed by the Metro.

United pushed hard to sign the ex-Arsenal man last summer, but Barcelona were reluctant to part with Fabregas a player they saw as a natural heir to Xavi’s throne turning down three separate bids over the course of a drawn out saga which lasted most of the summer.

Of course, any potential deal would be subject to a successful appeal from Barcelona with regards to their transfer embargo currently, Barcelona club are prevented from conducting a transfer dealings in the next two windows due to the illegal signing of several U-18 Internationals.

Fabregas has supposedly failed to impress the Barcelona hierarchy thus far and will be part of an extensive clear-out in the coming months should the restrictions imposed by FIFA be rescinded.

United are prepared to offer £25 million for the 26-year-old in an attempt to inject a creative spark into their unimaginative midfield.

Fabregas has featured 31 times for Barcelona this season, netting eight times and assisting on 12 occasions.
