Southampton have already sold Ricky Lambert and Adam Lallana to Liverpool while Luke Shaw was sold to Manchester United. Dejan Lovren has been linked heavily with a summer exit as well. And ex-manager Mauricio Pochettino left St Mary’s and to take the role of head coach at Tottenham Hotspur on a five year contract.
With so many departures, you can see why Saints fans want to hold on to the top talents still at the club.
And when one such fan happened to run into Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger on the beach in Brazil and sees the opportunity to make a desperate plea: “Please don’t take (Morgan) Schneiderlin!”
