Reports: Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin to move to Arsenal

Morgan Schneiderlin of Southampton celebrates scoring the equalizer against West Ham United

Morgan Schneiderlin is ready to ignore interest from Tottenham Hotspurs and move to London arch-rivals Arsenal.

Spurs had attempted to sign the Southampton duo Jay Rodriguez and Schneiderlin this summer, but both players stayed put at St.Mary’s Stadium.

Wenger has up to £20m to invest in new signings in the January transfer window and Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko and Ipswich Town defender Tyrone Mings are two of his targets.

It is also reported by Express that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is arranging a £25million raid for the 25-year-old French international. The midfielder has impressed this season with Southampton currently above Arsenal and Spurs in the Premier League standings.

There had been speculations that Schneiderlin was not happy with the deal with which Spurs had tried to get him from the Saints. Hence, Schneiderlin is reportedly planning to wait for Arsenal to come up to sign him. The Frenchman had revealed his desire of playing for a ‘big club’ last month, in spite of his teams wonderful performances in the Premier League.
