Former Manchester United and current Fenerbahce star Robin van Persie could be moving to the Premier League as he is being targetted by Stoke City according to the Daily Mirror. Van Persie enjoyed a wonderful spell at the Theatre of Dreams with the Red Devils in the Premier League and also won a league title.

This signing would be a huge boost for Stoke City if they could possibly land the Dutchman who is currently a bit unsettled at Turkey.

Potter's boss Mark Hughes desperately wants to improve their frontline and adding the Dutchman could be the way to go. Van Persie's time in the Premier League has always been amazing. During his time with the London giants Arsenal, Van Persie smashed a massive 132 goals for the club. The Dutchman also scored a staggering 58 goals for the Red Devils during his time at Old Trafford. The Dutchman excelled in the World Cup 2014 scoring one of the best goals in the tournament, a flying header against Spain.

He led his side to the World Cup semi-finals but unfortunately bowed out to Argentina. The former Manchester United striker has already expressed his desire to return to the toughest league in the world.

The Dutchman scored 22 times for Fenerbahce in all competitions which helped them earn a spot in the Champions League qualifiers but the striker is reportedly unsettled at the Turkish Club and wants a move back to England.

Van Persie's addition to the Premier League would be an exciting one with Mark Hughes also interested in 22-year-old Saido Berahino from West Bromwich Albion.

The English striker has impressed with West Brom and is wanted by many other Premier League clubs. If The Potters could land both of these players they could be a team to watch next season.

Potters finished 9th last season in the Premier League and would definitely like to finish higher in the half this season with Mark Hughes looking to put together some interesting signings.

The Dutchman could be their star striker and with Mark Hughes as the manager, Stoke City could definitely cause some problems to the big teams who are looking to compete for the title.
