TAL Crystal Ball: Gameweek 6 Division 1

Flipkart FC have come into form over the past couple of games and will be looking to continue their winning streak.

The final week of the TAL before the winter break is upon us and presumably all teams will want to head into the break on a positive note but as is the nature of sports you win some you lose some, but giving it your all is a must!

8:00 AM – Rare Dare FC v FC Kougen Kikou

RDFC and FCKK kick things for GW 6 when they go head to head in the 8AM kick off. RDFC are still without a win and will look to get out of the red zone; a win for them here could be just what the doctor ordered. FCKK were unlucky not to come away with at least a point against Supernova but will look to set things right against RDFC. Both teams have extremely different strategies on the pitch and the team to execute their plan perfectly will be the victors.

Players to watch: Anoos Paryangat (Rare Dare FC), Hiroki Akiyama (FC Kougen Kikou)

Crystal Ball: Rare Dare FC (1) – (1) FC Kougen Kikou

9:30 AM – Mavericks FC v Yataghan Internazionale

The next game features two teams who are struggling at the bottom of the table and a win here could set them on their way to safety. Mavericks are currently bottom dwellers and haven’t picked up a point since their draw against RDFC in the opening week, although they have been playing well and late goals have robbed points for them. Yataghan are also on a downhill trajectory since their win against RDFC in GW 2 but they had bolstered their squad with some new blood in their search for safety.

Players to watch: Bilal Khan (Mavericks FC), Mutsa Muswere (Yataghan Internazionale)

Crystal Ball: Mavericks FC (0) – (1) Yataghan Internazionale

11:00 AM – FC Bengal v Horizons FC

Next up, we have the clash of the day when Bengal takes on league leaders Horizons in what should be a tight clash. Bengal currently sit in fourth place but a win for them here could change things at the top. Horizons picked up a big win last week when they beat Parikrma by a comfortable scoreline and go into this game with a 3-point lead at the top. We expect this clash to be a close one but Horizons go in as favourites given the form they are in.

Players to watch: Raymond B (FC Bengal), Philip Babalola (Horizons FC)

Crystal Ball: FC Bengal (1) – (2) Horizons FC

12:30 PM – Samba FC v Parikrma FC

The fourth game of the day features Samba FC and Parikrma FC. Samba picked up an important win last week to move into mid-table safety and will be looking to use that confidence as they try to hold off the defending champions. Parikrma lost last week to Horizons and cant afford to drop any more points if they are to keep pace with the league leaders, expect them to come out guns blazing. This should be a classic defence versus attack contest, if Samba can hold off Parikrma in the first half it could be anyone’s game.

Players to watch: Vincy D’souza (Samba FC), Chiranjeevi Mururgan (Parikrma FC)

Crystal Ball: Samba FC (0) – (2) Parikrma FC

2:15 PM – Supernova FC v Gremio FC

The penultimate game of the day has Supernova taking on Gremio. Supernova just about managed to pick up a win last week against Kougen Kikou after trailing for most of the game. Gremio dropped points last week against Yataghan in a game they should have won and will be looking to set things right this time around. But they come up against tough opposition in Supernova. Both teams like to attack but if Supernova are lethargic in the first half they might pay the price. We expect this to be a high-scoring game.

Players to watch: Zuvundru Victor (Supernova FC), Danush D (Gremio FC)

Crystal Ball: Supernova FC (3) – (2) Gremio FC

3:45 PM - Flipkart FC v Project 7

The final game of the day has Flipkart taking on Project 7. Flipkart scored two late goals last time to secure back-to-back wins and will be looking to make it three against a struggling Project 7 side. Project 7 have played well for most of the season but the results have not fallen their way and they need to fix that right now or they could be in serious threat of relegation. Project 7 need to figure out a way to stop the potent Flipkart attacking threat. This should be a close affair but Flipkart do go in as slight favourites.

Players to watch: Paarth Dhar (Flipkart FC), Rahul Dewan (Project 7)

Crystal Ball: Flipkart FC (2) – (2) Project 7
