Teddy Sheringham wants Harry Kane to consider a move to Real Madrid or Manchester United

Harry Kane
‘Hurri-Kane has been on fire this season

Former Tottenham and Manchester United striker Teddy Sheringham wants Harry Kane to think about where he should play in the future. The 50-year-old has been very impressed with the young striker and despite all that Sheringham has achieved he feels Kane is better than he was!

Speaking to Daily Mail he said, “He’s mentioned growing up watching me play and looking up to me. But I have to give credit where it’s due, he has more in his locker than I had. He can go forward, hits the ball as early as Alan Shearer used to and can run in behind, which I wasn’t great at.”

Sheringham won three Premier League titles and a Champions League during his time with Manchester United and feels Kane should choose wisely when it comes to his next club.“I'm sure there are top clubs looking at him and they'd be prepared to break the bank just because of the way he plays and the way he wants to score goals every time he gets the ball.”

“Should he move right now? I don't know. Timing's a funny thing in football because you have to take the opportunity when it arises. If you don't, another striker might go to United or Real Madrid or whoever we're talking about and you won't get the chance again for another four or five years.”

"You've only got a period of about 12 years in professional football and when these things come along you have to take tough decisions.Sometimes they feel right and you have to go with the flow."

Spurs title push hinges on United match

Tottenham’s young stars have really impressed this season and helped the club reach new heights. The Lilywhites are currently second in the table, seven points behind Leicester and still with a fighting chance to win the League title.

Harry Kane has been one of those players who has been leading the way in terms of goals. The Englishman first caught the eye last year when he became the first Tottenham player to score 30+ goals since Gary Lineker.

This season he has already surpassed his tally of 21 goals from last year currently on 22 goals with 6 games left to play. He is the top scorer in the Premier League currently ahead of Jamie Vardy and Sergio Aguero in the race for the Golden Boot.

But today they face their most important task yet. Spurs will welcome United to White Hart Lane and if they drop points against the Red Devils then their title challenge will be all but over.
