Trinidad & Tobago striker Kevon Carter dies after heart attack

Trinidad and Tobago international Kevon Carter has died of a heart attack after experiencing chest pains during a training session with his club Defence Force FC this Friday morning.

Trinidad and Tobago’s General Secretary of Football Federation Sheldon Phillips expressed his sorrow while saying, “”The young man had a quiet resolve about him and bounced back from a horrific leg injury to once again earn a spot on the national team. The entire football family is in mourning and our thoughts and prayers are with Kevon’s family and teammates.”

Carter was training at Macqueripe with his team-mates while preparing for their upcoming CFU Championship.

A forward by position, he has made 25 appearances for his country and has 5 goals to his name.
