Twitter reacts as Coutinho-inspired Liverpool hammer Watford 6-1

Philippe Coutinho was in scintillating form for Liverpool against Watford

Liverpool stormed to the top of the Premier League as they hammered a beleaguered Watford side 5-1. The result takes Liverpool to 26 points, with Chelsea right behind them on 25 points. Philippe Coutinho was ably supported by Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino to ensure that the Reds put Watford to the sword.

Sadio Mane opened the scoring in the 27th minute and the floodgates opened, as Coutinho made it 2-0 minutes later with a stunning goal. Emre Can tripled Liverpool’s lead in the 43rd minute, while Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane scored twice in three minutes to make it 5-0 on the hour mark. Janmaat pulled one back for Watford, before Wijnaldum completed the rout in injury time.
