The Uruguayan vowed to help her throughout his life and do his utmost to help increase awareness about the rare disorder and eliminate it. It was a really touching gesture from the Barcelona striker.
Suarez has been in amazing form this season and is in contention to win the pichichi top prize along with Cristiano Ronaldo. Barcelona were suffering a slump in form recently with three consecutive losses in the La Liga., however, a superb show from Luis Suarez helped Barcelona bounce back with a stunning 8-0 victory.
Suarez was at his very best against Deportivo scoring 4 goals and assisting 3 more. There is no doubt that Suarez is one of the best players in the world today.
However, Suarez has never been short of controversy in his career. He was at the centre of a racism row which involved Patrice Evra. He has also been banned thrice in his career for biting.
This side of Suarez is indeed refreshing to see and it shows that the man is completely different away from the pitch than he is on it. Suarez is extremely popular in his home country of Uruguay where he has supported many charitable causes.
He might be a devil on the pitch tormenting opposition defences, but the former Liverpool striker is definitely an angel off it.
