A hysterical series of events ensued in an Israeli second division game on Saturday. A player who picked up an injury in the game had to be stretchered off. But the medic seemed to be struggling with the stretcher and eventually dropped it while the player was on it.
The comical incident occurred during a game between Maccabi Herzilya's clash with Maccabi Ahi Nazareth in the city of Herzliya in Israel. The captain of the visiting team Amjad Sulaiman picked up a problem in his right leg.

The medics rushed onto the pitch with the stretcher and managed to do the first part right by placing him on the stretcher. But the person holding the stretcher at the back was finding it difficult to grip the handles properly. Eventually, a player also joined in to help the staff but it was in vain as they dropped the stretcher onto the ground in clumsy fashion.
The captain in anger kicked the stretcher away, then got up off the ground and started to limp away on one leg towards the touchline. His teammate though came to his aid and carried him off the pitch.
It just goes to show you even the simplest tasks can be made complex. The art of stretchering players off continues to be a challenge for several medical professionals. These kind of incidents can even lead to an aggravation of the injury the player is already carrying which is why it is important to ensure staff are well prepared for these situations.
We can only feel sympathy for the player, but the medic might have gotten a talking to from his superiors after his careless act.
