Video: Ronaldo Jr annoys his grandmother by asking about Lionel Messi

It’s no secret that Cristiano Ronaldo Jr has been a big fan of his father’s counterpart Lionel Messi. Yes, the boy expressed his admiration for the Barcelona star man in a video clip during the Ballon d’Or ceremony earlier this year. The kid was star-struck by the Argentinian before going over to meet him.

The two La Liga superstars have forged a rivalry of sorts where fans eagerly follow both of them to see who betters the others records. It’s been going on for years now as the duo have raised the expectations of football followers around the world.

The cheeky offspring of the Real Madrid icon is turning into a celebrity of his own right. The five-year-old loves Messi but as for his grandmother Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro, she’s not quite the fan girl and understandably so.

In the latest video, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr asks his grandmother how many Golden Shoes Messi has. She was definitely not impressed by the boy's question. The grandmother expressed her annoyance with Ronaldo Jr by saying: “I don’t want to know about Messi”.

Dolores goes on to list the individual titles the boy's father has won so far in his career, pointing out that the former Manchester United Madrid star player has won the Ballon d'Or three times and Golden Shoe four times.

The video clip was apparently filmed while Ronaldo Sr was picking up the latest of the Golden shoe awards he won for the 48 La Liga goals he scored last season.

Just this week, two clips have emerged showing how Cristiano Ronaldo Jr is keen on mischief; he was also pictured with his father in a deleted scene from ‘Ronaldo’, the film about the superstar. That video shows the two Cristianos in conversation about the little boy’s name.
