Barcelona is currently on it’s preseason tour in the United States. Players like Lionel Messi and Neymar are missing from the squad as they have been given time off to rest following a grueling Copa America campaign.
Regardless, the Barcelona team still boasts a plethora of stars, including the former Liverpool man Luis Suarez who scored in their 2-1 win over LA Galaxy. While the match was only the beginning of the tour, Barcelona players have been busy off the pitch too.
They have been interacting with fans, meeting Kobe Bryant and signing some autographs. Such interactions often pop up with some interesting conversations and tidbits of fan and player camaraderie that are hardly found elsewhere.
Suarez was involved in one such interaction while signing autographs on tour. A young fan tells him “You’re the best.”
The Uruguayan, being his modest self, laughs and replies, “ I am not the best, you know is the best?”
The child meekly replies: “Messi.”
