The Liverpool players were tested on how good their acting was when they were asked to re-enact and recite famous lines from Hollywood films. Jurgen Klopp and his men were handed the tough task of trying to replicate some of the most famous quotes from actors we admire.
While most players had their moments in the video it’s safe to say acting is not really the players' strong suit. Nevertheless, the video was thoroughly entertaining. James Milner, Mohamadou Sakho, Jordan Henderson and Philippe Coutinho were just some of the players who featured.
They were given lines from movies like ‘The Dark Knight’, Terminator and ‘The Godfather’. The video was released as a promotional tool for Liverpool’s tour of the US scheduled to take place this summer.
The club will be playing AC Milan and Chelsea in California in the summer. The video had a very trailer effect to it with epic music in the background starting it off in style. Sakho and Clyne were probably the standout performers but others had their moments too.
Clyne gave a very compelling ‘Why so Serious’ recitation that sounded similar to Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker in the Dark Knight movie. Sakho can definitely consider a career in acting after he delivered his lines with great panache.
But Jurgen Klopp’s imitation of one of the most famous lines in Hollywood history took the cake. He recited ‘Asta La Vista baby’ from Terminator and for a second you would believe that Arnold Schwarzenegger is standing next to you about to unleash his fury.
Klopp has done a fine job after taking over as head coach of Liverpool. The Reds are into the semi-finals of the Europa League after one of the most memorable comebacks against Dortmund in the semi-finals. The competition is their best chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season
