Lionel Messi is undoubtedly one of the greatest players on the planet. The number of records he has broken and the success he as achieved is almost unmatchable by anyone else. He was discovered by Barcelona as young boy in Rosario while he was playing with Newell’s Old Boys.
His talent was there for everyone to see as he was part of a famous youth side of the club that were nearly unbeatable. This video has surfaced 20 years after it was taken when Messi was playing for a club called Central Cordoba.
The video shows him scoring an incredible long range goal. From a throw in Messi loops the ball over an opponent and volleys it directly into the goal. There have been so many instances of Messi’s brilliance even as a kid, and this is another such example.
Despite the video being so old it has only been uploaded to Youtube this week. Lionel Messi was signed by Barcelona when he was only 10 years old. The first team director at that point of time didn't have a paper so he offered the contract on a piece of napkin.
Messi has probably been one of the most important signings in Barcelona's history as he has gone on to score over 500 career goals for the club and has been instrumental in the success they have achieved.
The Argentine might win his 8th La Liga title with Barcelona this year who are currently top of La Liga, 8 points ahead of 2nd placed Atletico Madrid.
