Video: Player loses both boots in tackle, gets assist with just his socks

Football boots have come a long way over the past few years, but Linfield player Ross Clarke didn’t need them in their 4-0 win over Dungannon Swifts.

Many people love playing barefoot, but that’s probably in your backyard or the beach – not in a professional game!

The 21-year-old midfielder was making a run through the midfield when an attempted tackle by an opponent saw him lose both his shoes.

But when he realized his team still had the ball, he received a pass from his teammate and then set up Ivan Sproule with a through ball wearing nothing but his socks.
