French icon Zinedine Zidane spoke of Real Madrid’s interest in his younger compatriot Paul Pogba who has gathered attention from several clubs. Despite the several reports linking the youngster to other European giants, he recently signed a contract with Juventus that should keep him at the club till 2019.

Such contracts, however, are a small matter for clubs with the financial clout of Real Madrid. When queried about the global interest in Pogba, Zidane said: “I think he's fantastic. What I like about him is that he has everything.

“He's a complete player, who is also capable of scoring goals, because he gets forward a lot. In terms of his football qualities, he is extraordinary.”

The former Real Madrid legend who is currently the coach of the Galacticos’ reserve team also felt that the interst in Pogba is not something out of the ordinary.

“A lot of clubs are interested. People are talking about Real too. But it's only natural, big clubs are interested in talented players,” he said.

“For him to improve, it's important to have a healthy environment around him, and I hope he'll have that all the time.”

Paul Pogba was on the losing side in the Champions League final with the opposing side being linked to him. Only time will tell if and where the talented French midfielder might end up.

The positive for Zidane, however is that no matter which club he plays for, the French national side will have access to his services.
