Details of the long awaited Batman: Arkham Knight PC patch revealed

Batman: Arkham Knight’s PC version will soon be as delightful as the rest

The wait has been endless for the frustrated owners of the glitch-plagued PC version of the super hit game Batman: Arkham Knight.

They can finally take solace after WB and developer Rocksteady Entertainment revealed details of the PC patch, which is set to be released in the near future. The game was received brilliantly on every platform but the PC one, with many technical glitches popping up and making the game unplayable.

Things got so bad that WB and Rocksteady decided to recall every copy of the PC version from retailers, in an attempt to cull the problem from spreading to further users.

Rumours even surfaced of Rocksteady outsourcing the development of the PC version of the game to an unknown party which is why the version was so poorly crafted.

However, the patch is finally coming and it looks like it’s going to be fixing a lot of stuff.

Details of the patch are below:

  1. Reduced frame rate hitches
  2. Optimized system memory and VRAM usage
  3. Improved performance on all GPUs (requires the latest drivers)
  4. Min Spec AMD GPU is once again the Radeon HD 7870 2GB
  5. More robust In-Game Settings, including
  6. Added the ability to change settings for Max FPS to 30/60/90
  7. Added toggles for Motion Blur, Chromatic Aberration, and Film Grain
  8. Added a “High” Texture Resolution value
  9. Added Texture Filtering option
  10. Added an Adaptive V-Sync option (NVIDIA only)
  11. Added VRAM Usage Meter
  12. Added Mouse Sensitivity Slider & Mouse Smoothing Option
  13. Fixed low-resolution texture bugs
  14. Fixed hitches when running on mechanical hard drives (HDD).

Further patches will also be announced, but until then fans can take solace in the fact that the solution to their month long problem is just a few weeks away.
