Styx: Master of Shadows is a third-person stealth video game developed by Cyanide Studios for the PC, PlayStation4 and Xbox One. The players take the role of Styx, a goblin who’s on a mission to steal the heart of a World-Tree enclosed inside the huge Tower of Akenash.
The game released to mixed reviews with our review commending its stealth features and cool mechanics while criticizing its lack of action. Now, it looks like Styx is going to get a sequel.
Cyanide Studios and Focus have released a new Christmas trailer which is very brief and wishes everyone a Merry Christmas before teasing about a future installment. The 51 second long trailer states that the horrid looking protagonist Styx will be “back in another adventure, without his Santa hat” and asks fans to “Stay tuned!”.
No other details were announced about the upcoming sequel. However, Styx has a lot of potential for a stealth genre and fans will be surely happy to hear about the new game in development. The game will be released sometime next year and in the meantime we can expect some more details and trailers from the game developers regarding the upcoming Styx game.
