The differently-abled face discrimination everywhere they go – be it in their day jobs, their recreational activities or even their grocery shopping. But in the sports world, and events like the Paralympic Games in particular, there is no discrimination. Everyone can participate, and it is your effort alone that matters. Whether you are born with no legs or have an amputated arm, your sweat and toil make you rise above it all. And at the end of the day, the athletes who put in the hard yards end up being champions, and nothing can take that away from them.
