"Plane perfection!" - Sir Nick Faldo commends Ludvig Aberg's impressive golf swing

Nick Faldo was highly impressed with Ludvig Aberg's resounding eagle during the first round of the 2024 RBC Heritage.

The budding Swedish star has been playing remarkably well since starting his professional career in 2023. He was the runner-up at the Masters last week and maintained his amazing gameplay at this week's Signature event.

Aberg shot an incredible eagle on the par-5 fifth hole at the Harbour Town Golf Links on Thursday, April 18. He took the first shot, which traveled 305 yards, followed by another shot of 271 yards. He got the ball into the hole in three shots, resulting in an eagle.

The PGA Tour shared a video of Ludvig Aberg on its X (formerly Twitter) account, which was later reshared by Fore Play.

Legendary golfer Nick Faldo came across the shot online and took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to appreciate Aberg, claiming it to be a "plane perfection" shot. He reshared the video with the caption:

"Is this the best golf swing you’ve ever seen or what?? 🏌️‍♂️💥⛳️ plane perfection!"

Sir Nick Faldo is regarded as one of the most prominent golfers in the world. He won over 40 professional events, including six Majors and nine PGA Tour events. The 66-year-old is currently enjoying his retirement away from the golf course.

Meanwhile, Ludvig Aberg has been pretty impressive at the 2024 RBC Heritage, and following the three rounds, he finished in a tie for fourth place. He settled for a score of under 13, heading into the final just three strokes behind the leader, Scottie Scheffler.

Having turned pro in 2023, Aberg has won one PGA Tour event and has his eyes set on clinching another one this week.


Ludvig Aberg's performance at the RBC Heritage 2024 so far

Aberg started off pretty smoothly at the 2024 RBC Heritage with an impressive round of 66. He teed it up on the first hole with a birdie on the second hole before carding an eagle on the fifth hole and making a birdie on the ninth. He shot four birdies, an eagle, and a bogey in the first round and scored 5-under 66.

Aberg shot a bogey-free round in the second round with five birdies, followed by the final round of 3-under par 68. Aberg made four birdies and a bogey in the final round to finish with a total of under 13.

The final round of the 2024 RBC Heritage is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 21. Ludvig Aberg will tee off at 1:35 p.m. ET in a group with Patrick Rodgers, followed by Collin Morikawa and Sahith Theegala, who will tee off at 1:45 p.m. ET.
