The Nepal national women’s handball team finished third in the Qatar International Women’s Handball Championship recently concluded at Doha, Qatar. Four nations – hosts Qatar, Nepal, Pakistan and Kuwait – participated in the event.
Nepal lost to Pakistan and Qatar and defeated Kuwait to claim the third spot, while hosts Qatar defeated Nepal 40-16 in the final match to gain the maximum nine points to claim the championship. Pakistan came second with seven points while Kuwait finished last with three points.
