Commonwealth Games 2014: Indian hockey team begin their training camp from June 25

New Delhi, June 24 (IANS) A preparatory camp of the Indian men's hockey team's core probables for the 20th Commonwealth Games will commence at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium from June 25.

The camp will continue till the departure of the team on July 12 for the Glasgow event scheduled between July 23 and Aug 3.

India will take on Wales in their first match on July 25, followed by Scotland July 26, Australia July 29 and South Africa July 31.

The list of 33 core probables:

Goalkeepers: P.R. Sreejesh, Harjot Singh, Sushant Tirkey.

Defenders: Gurbaj Singh, Birendra Lakra, Rupinder Pal Singh, V.R. Raghunath, Gurmail Singh, Gurjinder Singh, Vikram Kanth, Gurinder Singh, Manpreet Singh, Diwakar Ram, Kothajit Singh.

Midfielders: Dharamvir Singh, Sardar Singh, S.K. Uthappa, Jasjit Singh, Danish Mujtaba, Chinglensana Singh Kangujam, Satbir Singh, Devinder Walmiki, Vikas Pillay.

Forwards: S.V. Sunil, Ramandeep Singh, Akashdeep Singh, Mandeep Singh, Nikkin Thimmaiah, Lalit Upadhyay, Yuvraj Walmiki, Talwinder Singh, Affan Yousuf, Nithin Thimmaiah.
