Hockey World League: Indian eves start on a winning note, thrash Kazakhstan 8-0

New Delhi - Indian women’s hockey team started their winning campaign on the first day of the Hero Hockey World League Round 2 Delhi 2013 being played at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium today.

Indian women’s team played attacking game and thrashed Kazakhstan 8-0. India scored four goals in the first half through Jaspreet Kaur (8th minute penalty corner and 21st minute penalty corner) and Rani (15th minute and 26th minute) to claim lead in the game.

In the 2nd half of the game, India continued to score at a regular interval and converted four goals through Rani (41st minute), Soundarya Yendala (48th minute penalty corner) and Jaspreet Kaur (54th minute penalty corner and 70th minute penalty stroke).

Jaspreet Kaur was adjudged Player-of-the-Match for scoring four brilliant goals.
