Asia Cup Kabaddi: India crush Nepal 50-22

Living up to their favorites tag, reigning champions India once again showed why they will be the team to beat in the second Asia Cup Kabaddi Championship being played at the Punjab Sports Stadium in Lahore.

The men in blue underlined the fact that they are head and shoulders above other teams, chalking up their third straight win over Nepal to maintain their championship winning hopes.

The Indian raiders exhibited robust holds and exemplary dodges to unsettle the Nepalese side, who never appeared competitive.

The convincing 50-22 final scoreline gives a fair indication of the way India held sway over Nepal – their third clinical win after the 68-28 decimation of Afghanistan and 55-15 walloping of Sri Lanka.

India next play Iran – a formidable opponent – later today and the Indian raiders can expect stiff resistance from the Iranians if their 64-14 larruping of Sri Lanka is anything to go by.

On Monday, India rub shoulders with arch-rivals Pakistan which is billed as a lip-smacking clash as it would determine the tournament champions as the championship is being held in a round-robin format

Hosts Pakistan also posted their third win on the trot, thumping Afghanistan 57-33.
