Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India names 36-player probables squad for National Camp, Ritu Negi leads the charge

Ritu Negi, the esteemed captain of India's women's Kabaddi team, will lead a group of 35 players picked to participate in the upcoming national camp. The camp marks the start of rigorous preparations for international tours scheduled for the second half of the year. Star raiders Pooja and Jyoti have joined Negi's squad, adding depth to it.

With aspirations of representing their country on a global scale, each player in the camp is eager to compete for recognition and a spot on the prestigious national team. The squad, which includes 16 raiders, three left covers, and four players each for the left corner, right cover, right corner, and all-rounder positions, represents a well-balanced mix of talent and versatility.

The meticulous selection process, overseen by an experienced committee that included Manpreet Singh, Ashok Shinde, and Randhir Singh Sehrawat, aimed to identify individuals capable of delivering standout performances under pressure, as evidenced by their performances at the Nationals.

Himachal Pradesh's victory in the senior women's national championship did not go unnoticed, with selectors choosing to include the defensive trio of Pushpa, Sakshi, and Bhavna, as well as all-rounder Jyoti.

As international tours and a World Cup approach in the coming months, players are eager to stay in peak physical condition and deliver outstanding performances for the national team.
