Allegations of disruptive politicking levelled at President of AIMMAA Mr. Sharif Bapu

AIMMAF fighters and officials at Bahrain airport to represent India

Arshiyan Memon has pulled out from the main event of ZWFC 3 War of Titans against Kushal Vyas. The reason given by his coach Sensei Mohan Singh is that he had a shoulder injury from his last fight at the Asian Pankration Championship in Kazakhstan.

However, it has since come to light, through a voice message that went viral on Whatsapp, that Mr. Sharif Bapu, a high-ranking official of All India Mixed Martial Art Association (AIMMAA), forced Sensei Mohan to withdraw his fighter from ZWFC. In the voice message Mr. Bapu also expressed happiness about doing so.

Speaking on the matter, the promoter of ZWFC, Sensei Mayur Bansode said, "This won't affect ZWFC because after this voice message, I have got a lot of calls from friends expressing their support and many fighters and coaches have contacted me for chance to replace Arshiyan Memon. But Kushal Vyas is a top fighter so we are taking 2 days to finalise his opponent so that we can showcase a competitive fight for the fans.”

Sensei Mayur also added, "Sharif Bapu should focus on preparing a fighters’ team to Las Vegas for the world championships organised by IMMAF rather than playing dirty politics."

According to International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) post on Twitter, there are seven days left for registration and yet there is not a single entry from All India Mixed Martial Arts Association (AIMMAA).

After this post we hope the All India Mixed Martial Arts Association (AIMMAA) quickly takes action to send participants to MMA world championship of IMMAF.
