MMA may be the fastest growing sport in the world today, but in India, the roots are still in the formative stage. Shashi Sathe from Nashik, Maharashtra has been an exponent at the forefront of its growth in the country, setting up Real Cage Predator (RCP) in the year 2014.
Licensed under the Mixed Martial Arts Association of Nashik District (MMAAND), RCP seeks to offer opportunities to the fighting fit of today in India that are looking for a place to excel in all disciplines of Martial Arts that comprise MMA.
Unlike the troubles that Sashi Sathe encountered in obtaining well-rounded tutelage in MMA – that incidentally took him to places like Thailand and China – RCP offers a one-stop destination for all those wishing to obtain training in the different facets of the sport .
Sathe has fought under the banners of various promotions such as Xplosion Macau in Hong Kong and even against top calibre fighters such as Kozou Mitsuiyama from Japan.
Starting Real Cage Predators was in an effort to pass on this expertise and know-how to the younger generation in India, and the event held on June 5th 2016, RCP Fight Night 1, was a landmark occasion that stands testament to the progress of MMA in India and Sathe’s dedication to its cause.
