Freddie Haggerty owned up to the defeat he absorbed at the hands of Jordan Estupinan in his last match. He is hoping to get a rematch at some point and redeem himself.
The 20-year-old British striker lost to Colombian Estupinan by decision in their flyweight Muay Thai clash at ONE 170 in January. It was the first flyweight match for Haggerty, who is traditionally a strawweight.
Haggerty shared that while he is in no way making excuses for his loss in their first encounter, he believes he can turn the tables on Estupinan in a rematch, particularly if he is given more time to adjust to flyweight.
He told the South China Morning Post in an interview:

"I mean, if I naturally grow into that weight class, and I can't make strawweight anymore, and if he's at the top, then I don't see why not. I do genuinely believe I beat him nine times out of ten. I just didn't have much to go off. That was all."
Check out what he had to say below:
While he fell short in his flyweight debut, Freddie Haggerty is nonetheless proud of his performance, knowing that he gave his all and put up a tough stand.
He still open to compete at flyweight if the opportunity is presented to him and vowed to perform better.
Freddie Haggerty open to facing off against fellow rising star Johan Ghazali
Freddie Haggerty said he is willing to take on fellow rising star Johan Ghazali anywhere and anytime.
He made this known in the same interview with the South China Morning Post as he denied turning down a match offered to him against 'Jojo' as the latter claimed.
Haggerty said:
"His theory is delusional, and that is the truth. If ONE comes to me, said if I wanted to fight Johan, I would say, yes, like there was no tomorrow."
If ever such a match between Haggerty and Ghazali should happen, it has to be determined first in which weight class they are to battle since they traditionally compete in the strawweight and flyweight divisions, respectively.
