Russian striker Tagir Khalilov has had some bad luck in his recent fights, but he remains undeterred heading into ONE Fight Night 32: Nakrob vs. Jaosuayai on Prime Video on Friday, June 6. The Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, will host the event.

Speaking with ONE Championship ahead of his ninth appearance, Khalilov admitted that his time away from competition has helped him more than many would believe, especially after he broke his hand in his last bout. 'Samingpri' stated:

"Yeah, two losses. But in the last fight, I broke my hand — my lead left. I've fully recovered, and honestly, that hand feels even better now than my power hand. I've missed that feeling of victory. I'm going into this fight to win — nothing else matters."

The fight that Khalilov was referring to was his ill-fated November 2024 showdown with flyweight Muay Thai rising star Kongthoranee Sor Sommai, where he lost via unanimous decision.

This outing extended Khalilov's losing streak to two after ONE Fight Night 32 headliner Nakrob Fairtex handed him a first-round knockout in June of that year.

Tagir Khalilov's chance at ending the skid will come against 19-year-old Chinese prospect Liao Shixu in a catchweight (140 pounds) Muay Thai bout at ONE Fight Night 32.

Despite his recent struggles, Khalilov remains a formidable striker with a strong chin that can withstand some crunching blows. After all, he nearly spoiled ONE megastar Rodtang Jitmuangnon's kickboxing debut in February 2021.

Meanwhile, Liao will be looking to shake up the promotion's Muay Thai ranks in a major way with an impressive victory over the Archangel Michel and Samingpri Muay Thai Gym representative.

ONE Fight Night 32 will be available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
