ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon did his best to lift the spirits of rising star Johan Ghazali after the latter absorbed a razor-thin defeat at ONE Fight Night 32: Nakrob vs. Jaosuayai last Friday, June 6. The head honcho of Superbon Training Camp once again worked the corner of the Malaysian-American star for his flyweight Muay Thai bout with Diego Paez inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
While Ghazali turned in a solid performance, the 31-year-old emerged victorious via split decision. In an Instagram video shared by the promotion, Superbon sought to allay the fans' fears of Ghazali having hit a wall so early into his career. He also expressed his confidence in the 18-year-old's resilience to learn from his latest setback.

Diego Paez explains what Johan Ghazali's biggest weakness is
Diego Paez's wealth of experience proved to be the difference-maker in handing Johan Ghazali his first losing streak in ONE. From his perspective, he believes that the talented youngster needs to shed a bit of his ego.
Speaking with combat sports journalist Nick Atkin in a post-fight interview, the Classic Fight Team affiliate said:
"Absolutely, absolutely. Yeah, I did think that for sure. I know he fights with a lot of ego, and I saw right through that. I can read people kind of like an empath, and I saw that he looked right past me, and he was already focused on what was to come after."
