UFC News: GSP says he'd love to fight Michael Bisping on social media

The Rush!

Last Night, Georges St-Pierre stunned the world, when he addressed UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping regarding a fight at UFC 206, in GSP’s homeland Toronto, Canada.

The former welterweight kingpin, uploaded a video of himself, stating that last week he met WME-IMG CEO, Ari Emanuel, settled his issues with Dana White and ‘made peace with him’.

Despite the fact that there was no deal signed for a fight with Bisping on December 12th, GSP still hopes for the best.

"Nothing would make me more happy in the world than to fight you in Toronto, Michael. Last week, I met with Ari and I made peace with Dana. I tried to resolve things, but unfortunately, right now it's not happening. Hopefully, things will change soon. Thank you," St-Pierre said in the video he posted on Instagram and Twitter.

Michael Bisping has been carrying a social media campaign, demanding that the UFC make the dream match a reality. For the joy of the fans, he revealed that he had ‘verbally accepted’ the match and no deal has been concluded. But demanded St-Pierre to “sign the papers’’, so they could finally collide in the ring.

Only two days back, Brett Okamoto of ESPN had revealed about a meeting he had with the UFC President Dana White, who denied any rumours of the possible super fight.

This was a good year for the UFC, as far as their financial status is concerned. Not to forget, the top two money generating memorable battles between, Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz. With two more huge fights on the horizon with Ronda Rousey returning and McGregor aiming to make history, a fight between Bisping and St-Pierre wouldn’t do any harm.

On the contrary, according to the reports of Mmajunkie.com, Bisping is on medical suspension due to the damage he received during his fight with Dan Henderson. So, it’s unlikely for Bisping to take the fight as soon as next month, as he needs to take time off to recover.

Bisping has been doing wonders in the ring with victories over Luke Rockhold, Anderson Silva and lately, Dan Henderson. GSP hasn’t fought since his last title defence against Johnny Hendricks in 2013. Only time will tell whether the two are destined to meet.
