This past weekend provided exciting fights for the fight fans. While Invicta FC 18 put on a mouthwatering card, UFC 201 saw a new Welterweight Champion being crowned. World Series Of Fighting rolled out with WSOF 32, which featured two titles fights, and an encounter which would’ve been a perfect fit in professional wrestling.

The main card started with a middleweight bout between Louis Taylor and Phil Hawes. After a decent first round, Taylor took Hawes down to the ground in the opening minutes of round two, and locked in the guillotine choke, resulting in Hawes going limp. Taylor picked up an impressive submission victory in the third minute of round two.

However, all eyes were on the Fodor brothers, who weren’t exactly on the best of terms going into the fight. Caros Fodor requested for a match against his own brother, and the two were involved in a heated exchange during the weigh ins, resulting in Caros Fodor pushing Ben Fodor – better known as Phoenix Jones. The bad blood between the two saw Ben giving an emotional pre fight interview, where he asked his brother what they were doing with tears in his eyes.

However, Caros managed to subdue Ben during the fight, with Ben’s emotions getting the better of him. Phoenix Jones came out swinging in the second round, but Caros managed to use his grappling and effective wrestling to keep Jones grounded. While Jones had his brief moments, Caros pinned him to the mat for the majority of the duration, and won the contest by unanimous decision.

In the co – main event, Alexandre Almeida put the featherweight title on the line against the number one contender, Lance Palmer. Palmer managed to close the distance and tagged Almeida with overhand lefts, and took the champion to the ground. As the fight progressed, Almeida looked for an opening, and tagged Palmer with a hook, sending him to the mat. However, Palmer did enough to get the nod from the judges, as he secured a majority decision victory to become the new WSOF Featherweight Champion.

The main event saw the 135’ers battle for the bantamweight title, as Marlon Moraes defended the strap against Josh Hill. In the early seconds of the second round, Moraes connected with a beautiful head kick, and followed up with a few rights as he stopped Josh to retain the bantamweight title.
