Spaniard Pol Espargaro recorded his second Moto2 Grand Prix win of the season with victory at the Catalunya Grand Prix today.
The 22-year-old started from pole and controlled the race throughout to move into second place in the championship standings with compatriot Esteve Rabat and Switzerland’s Thomas Luthi finishing second and third respectively.
Championship leader Scott Redding could only manage fourth after two successive victories at the French and Italian Grand Prix’, but he still has a comfortable 35 point lead at the top of the standings.
