Fiji Rugby seven team displayed an exceptional level of humility when they helped distributed lunch on a Virgin Australias flight when the flight attendants were busy tending an ill woman, Daily Mail reports.

The World no. 1 ranked team in the world was travelling to Brisbane from Fiji's capital of Nadi on Thursday from a Virgin Australia flight. During the duration of the flight, one of the passengers estimated to be a 65-year-old woman fell ill 45 minutes after the take-off. The team officials and doctors rushed to help the woman immediately, according to fellow passenger Ryan Fee.

Fee also informed that a couple of other passengers who had some medical experience also came out to help the woman. While the attendants and team doctors were busy helping the ill woman, Fijian players decided to distribute the food to other passengers.

“When the air hostesses were all flustered the team got up to finish serving food and then assisted with the clean up of trays for the entire plane,” Fee told news.com.au.

"The flight attendants 'were a bit stressed out' until the Fijian team offered their assistance, Mr Fee said.

"I don't want to talk foully of them [the flight attendants] because they did a fantastic job."

The team even cleaned up after the passengers had their lunch and collected the trays as well.

“We would like to thank those players for their kind gesture and efforts on board,” the Virgin Australia’s spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.

“Not only were our crew appreciative of the support provided but they were also very impressed with the professional standard of the players’ work.

“We wish them the best of luck in the competition ahead,” the spokesperson said.

The Fijian side was travelling to Dubai to play in the HSBC Sevens World Series on December 4.
