Manavaditya Singh Rathore wins Gold at the Junior Shotgun Cup in Finland

Manavaditya Singh Rathore, son of the 2004 Athens Olympics silver medalist Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, clinched the gold medal in the Men’s Junior Trap event on the final day of the International Junior Shotgun Cup that was being played at Oritmattlia in Finland last week.

It was his first individual medal of the competition to add to the team the bronze that he won along with Lakshaya and Kismat Chopra earlier in the same day.

Along with Manav, Kirti Gupta also won the Gold, in both the Individual and team Women’s Trap event, partnering Manisha Keer and Pragat Dubey.in the latter.

Earlier, Anant Jeet Singh Naruka and Arjun Mann won a silver and bronze respectively in the junior Men’s skeet category, in an event that saw 90 shooters participate from a total of 10 countries.

This isn't the 1st time that Manav has bagged a gold in the Trap event. At the Asian Shotgun Championships in November 2014, the youngster won yet another gold in the Junior Men’s Trap category in a shoot-off with a score of 114 out of 125.
