Android games are now a dime a dozen. So its not surprising to find some really bad games and numerous rehashed copies of other games in the store. But there are always a few games released every week that stand out above the rest, either in gameplay, graphics or both. So we have made it our job to find some of the best there is in the android store and present them to you in our top 10 weekly list of android games. So without further ado, here is our top 10 list for this week:
#10 Candy Crush Soda Saga
From the developers of the immensely popular Candy Crush Saga comes a brand new variation of the game titled ‘Candy Crush Soda Saga’. The game features new candies, more amazing combinations and challenging game modes with purple soda. In fact the whole game has a soda theme, hence the name. Talk about a sweet tooth. Candy Crush Soda Saga is available in the Google Play Store for free!. Just remember to keep the Candy Crush requests at bay though.
#9 Agent, Run!
Agent, Run! Is another one of those runner games which have now become a sort of guilty pleasure for most gamers. It is an unconventional runner game that boasts of innovative gameplay mechanics. You have to clear obstacles in the way with your finger so that the Agent to safely run across. He’s on a mission to stop Professor E.Vil from unleashing his evil Doomsday machine on the world. The graphics are not very interesting but the gameplay is fun and fast.
#8 Monkey Racing
From Crescent moon games, the guys behind Monkey Boxing, comes a fun arcade style racing game titled Monkey Racing. You play as a monkey who has to race against other chimps and secure victory. It’s a pretty standard racing game that features crazy vehicles like a shark. You can also attack other drivers with rocket launchers and avoid traps that might drive you off course. The game boasts of 80 tracks and a wide range of whacky vehicles and upgrades.
#7 Flyhunter Origins
In Flyhunter you play as Zak, a bumbling alien spaceship janitor who works on board the Flyhunter Crew’s legendary spaceship ‘The Frog’. But Zak isn’t happy with his menial job and instead has big dreams of becoming a Flyhunter so it’s now its your mission to ‘Bring home the bugs’ and fulfil Zak’s Dream. Zak is a “Zursk”- one of the three alien species inhabiting the planet Burgarol 3. The game involves you catching various bugs and has very cartoony graphics and characters.
#6 Sweet Drmzzz
Sweet Drmzz is a point and click puzzle solving, arcade action game by Bart Bonte/ bontegames. When the character falls asleep is when the real adventures begin.The game has a very charming simplistic design to it and involves solving some ingenious puzzles. Players must first figure out how to first interact with the many puzzles presented and then complete it which can be a joy on its own. The game is available for $0.99.
#5 Two Dots
In this game, you have to help two adorable brave dots to traverse the arctic, navigate through jungles and plunge the ocean depts. Two dots design is simplistic yet intriguing with a beautiful color scheme to boot. It is a simple connect the dot game that is easy to get into and hard to put down. The game also boasts of 150 levels to complete. Two dots is available for free in the Apple and Play store but does have in app purchases.
#4 Monzo
Monzo is more of a digital modelling kit then a game, but it still makes it into our list because it is a lot of fun to use. Monzo offers a wide range of models from Revell and you can even take your real-life Revell models to a digital form with this app. Then you can design these models as you please. The game offers different design variations to use on your model which are meant to reflect the power of your own creativity.
#3 Red Johnsons Chronicles: Full
In this game you play as private detective Red who is trying to find his place in the corrupted city of Metropolis. The police want you to solve a murder, but the twist here is that there is no corpse. So with that you set off to find clues by snooping around, sometimes in other people’s property. These people also have no qualms about shooting you in the face if they catch you. The game is available for $14.99 in the Apple and Play store.
#2 Civilization Revolution 2
The popular strategy series Civilizations now comes to the android and iOS platforms with their latest Civilization Revolution 2. It is the first title in the game franchise to be developed exclusively for mobile devices. Civilizations is a strategy game that requires careful thinking and tact to conquer nations and defend your own. Civilization Revolution 2 promises to offer strategy fans a brand new 3D presentation and more tactical depth than ever before!. The game is priced at $14.99.
#1 XCOM:Enemy Within
Once available for consoles, XCOM: Enemy Within has now launched for android and iOS and is priced at $12.99. The game was first launched as an expansion for XCOM: Enemy Unknown but is now a stand-alone app for iPhone, iPad and Android. The game still features the core gameplay of Enemy Unknown and also has more exciting content such as new soldiers, abilities, enemies, maps, missions, and even a multiplayer mode. The graphics are also excellent for an android game.
