Lowest scoring NBA games

NBA game features a 48 minute showdown between two teams comprising of some of the top notch basketball atheletes from around the world. Every one expects both teams dropping bombs ( 3 pointers ) from outside, making some highlight worthy drives and layups, some massive dunks and posterisations. But this time lets talk about the teams that failed to do any of these in a 48 minute regulation and scored the least points.**These records are held after the introduction of 24 second shot clock, i.e. 1954.

Uttah Jazz scored 62 points against New York Knicks. The game was lost by the home team at Uttah on November 14, 2005.

Indiana Pacers scored 61 atCleveland and lost to the home team on March 22, 1994.

New York Knicks were defeated by Detroit on April 12 1992 and again on January 29, 2005. Both of these games were played at Detroit and The Knicks team of the two different eras managed 61 points only, both the times.

New York Knicks lost to Celtics on November 29, 2007 at Boston, after managing to score just 59.

Portland Trailblazers scored 59 against Pacers at Indiana on February 27, 1998.

Cleveland Cavaliers at San Antonio were defeated by the Spurs. The matchup took place on March 25, 1997.

Sacramento Kings were defeated at Charlotte by the Hornets on January 10, 1991.

The same position is also held tied by Miami Heat who have been able to achieve this honor twice. Once, at Charlotte on December 20, 2000,and second timeon their home court against Uttah Jazz on December 18, 2001.

Uttah Jazz at Seattle against the supersonics also managed to score only 56 points. the game was played on February 16, 1999.

With just 55 points scored, Indiana Pacers of 1997-98 season rank at 4thposition for a lowest scoring NBA game. They achieved this honor against SanAntonio Spurs.
