Indian squash star Ramit Tandon’s remarkable run at the El Gouna International Open squash tournament came to an end after he suffered a defeat in the third-round clash against Diego Elias.
Elias dominated the clash right from the start and beat the Indian squash star convincingly in straight games. The match lasted 35 minutes, with the former World No. 1 demolishing Ramit with a scoreline of 11-2, 11-4, 11-2.
Following a heartbreaking loss, Ramit Tandon shared his feelings with his fans on the internet. Taking to his X account (formerly known as Twitter), he wrote:

Ramit Tandon beat French World No. 11 Victor Crouin in the second round
The Asian Games Bronze Medalist came into the round three clash after putting in a stunning performance against French world number 11 Victor Crouin.
Ramit Tandon caused a massive upset, registering a stunning 3-1 win over French world number 11 Victor Crouin in the second-round clash of the International Squash Open in El Gouna, Egypt.
The contest lasted 52 minutes, with Ramit Tandon picking up his second win over the Frenchman in five meetings.
“Victor is a very fair player, it’s always been fun playing him. We’re good friends so it’s always a good clean match. I’m happy with the way I played. That second game was really close and could have gone either way which was really crucial. Fortunately, it went my way," Ramit told the media after the win.
Before that, Ramit crushed Egyptian World No. 62 Aly Hussein in the opening-round clash. Tandon had beaten Egyptian 11-6, 11-9, 11-5 in the first round of the 48-player draw.
