“For me every event is an opportunity to prove myself and make my country proud. I am delighted that Speedo (who sponsor him) believes in me and is supporting me through this journey. I am confident that racing in the Fastskin3 will significantly contribute to my performance,” he said.

Wishing Sharath the very best for the Championships, Ankur Sharma, Business Head of Speedo India, said: “It has been an honour for us to have been associated with a talent as accomplished as Sharath Gayakwad. He has always been one of Speedo’s star athletes and we are hoping to see an encore of his performance at London 2012, where he reached his personal bests in all the five events that he participated in.”
