India's fight in aquatics events (diving and swimming) at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014 will be led by a small army of six men. The Indian team will be much smaller in size as compared the team that took part in the Delhi Games 2010.
In the last edition, India had fielded 20 swimmers, 10 para-swimmers and 3 divers. Swimming and diving are sports in which India is still in an infant state compared to Commonwealth countries like Australia, England, Canada and South Africa.
India's only medal at Delhi was a bronze won by Prasanta Karmakar in 50m Freestyle S9 (Para). Prasanta is still a part of the Indian team, but Olympian Virdhawal Khade's services will be missed.

1 silver and 2 bronze at IDM Berlin Swimming Championships 2014; bronze in 2010 Asian Para Games. Represented India at 2012 London Paralympic Games.
