Tennis player tweets congratulations to Serena Williams and rapper Drake for "getting engaged" !!

Has their relationship(?) gone to the next level???

There’s a rumour doing the rounds that World number 1 women’s tennis ace Serena Williams and rapper Drake are engaged. The two have been spotted together over the last few months and are apparently in a relationship. A few “PDAs” (Public Displays of Affection) between the two have been caught on camera as well.

At the bottom of this is 19-year-old tennis professional Victoria Duval, who sent out these tweets on October 8th :

According to elitedaily.com, Duval has since deleted her tweets and it seems like she quickly shifted the blame to an unnamed radio station. Very fishy.

A representative for Drake released a statement denying these rumours and confirmed that the two are not engaged, while a representative for Williams took it a step further and stated that they weren’t even dating, and are simply “ longtime friends”, according to the Huffington Post.

Speculation of the two being romantically involved began in August after they were spotted getting intimate over dinner at an Italian restaurant in Cincinatti. Williams was there to participate in the Western and Southern Open, and Drake cheered her on from the stands when she was on court.The flame was fanned further when Drake was seen cheering her at the U.S Open and had a front row seat at the fashion show, the Serena Williams Fashion Week.
