WTA Finals 2016: Doubles teams who have qualified

The WTA Finals, Singapore is slated to start in 2 days. Here’s taking a look at the doubles line-up to the Finals as we see which of the top women’s players will take the court in the doubles.

1. Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic

The French duo of Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic are paired as the Number 1 seed at the Finals and have secured the top berth.

2. Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza

Indo-Swiss stellar duo of Hingis and our home-bred Sania Mirza have glided into the Finals by securing for themselves the second seed in the upcoming tournament. Although they have split since then, they qualified for the event together and thus will play as a team.

3.Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Lucie Safarova

The US-Czech Republic duo of Bethanie Mattek Sands and Lucie Safarova, have qualified for the Finals by securing the 3rd position.

4. Elena Vesnina and Ekaterina Makarova

The Russion duo of Vesnina and Makarova have booked themselves the fourth place in the WTA Finals in Singapore, and had paired up for the Olympics in Rio this year.

5. Yung-Jan Chan and Hao-Ching Chang

The Chinese Taipei pairing of Yung-Jan Chan and Hao-Ching Chang are slotted in the 5th place of the WTA Finals.

6. Yaroslava Shvedova and Timea Babos

The duo from Kazakhstan and Hungary have secured the 6th spot in the tournament.

7. Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka

The Czech pair of Hlavackova and Hradecka have qualified for the finals by securing the 7th place.

8.Julia Goerges and Karolina Pliskova

Apart from qualifying for the singles, Pliskova has also qualified for the doubles in the last slot, paired with German Julia Goerges.
